Resident Maintenance Engineer - P&G
LOCATION: P&G, Manchester
Swisslog are currently seeking an experienced multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to work at our customer site in Manchester.
The successful candidate will provide service support to keep the installation technically up-to-date and to prevent any unplanned system downtime.
The successful candidate must deliver all aspects of the engineering service within key KPI guidelines with a team of multi-disciplined Engineers.
We are looking for someone who establishes effective work relationships across boundaries and integrates into the team. Also, you must be able to take responsibility for your actions and continuously seek improvements.
The Resident Maintenance Engineer will have to ensure that the company’s and customers safety regulations are always followed and to report any anomalies immediately. You must also prepare and participate in method statements, risk assessments but also driving continuous improvement on site with their teams to comply with health and safety legislation.
Good all round engineering skills are required. In addition, it is essential that you are well versed and competent in controlling systems and mechanics as well as having a broad knowledge of electronics. The ideal candidate will have a minimum ONC or an equivalent in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
It is essential that you have strong communication skills, both written and verbal and well developed listening skills. Also, customer facing experience and the ability to understand customer requirements is a key success factor in this role.
