All applicants must have an understanding in the following technologies and competences:
Understanding of real time programming, relational database concepts and architecture
Good understanding of SQL Server Database Administration
Knowledge of web technology
NET Platform environment in particular, Visual C#, Visual C++
Network and sockets programming
Knowledge of at least one source code version control systems
Good English (both written and oral)
5 years degree in Engineering (SW Engineering)
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Project or another project planning tool
Working in a small team environment the candidate leads the design and development of software solutions for manual and automated warehousing operations in support of the company’s complete product portfolio, following the Swisslog concepts and standards, rules and tools within the division. Supporting a continuous improvement by a common way of working and efficient software development.
He/she is responsible for developing functional user requirements initially as part of a sales team. Once the project reaches the implementation phase, he/she works with the realization team until the detailed system specification is completed. The position holder takes responsibility for assuring that the functional requirements meet the customer specifications and implementing the solution with respect to the customer budget and Swisslog’s profit margin target.
As a Software Team Leader, he/she is the first point of contact in all aspects during the life cycle of a project to successfully deliver it in terms of defined scope, budget and quality. Taking responsibility for some commercial aspects of a project including changes; informing stakeholders on project issues and plans as well.
